Richard W. Neu
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Neu has been Chairman of our board since April 2009. Mr. Neu currently serves on the board of directors and the audit committee of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. Mr. Neu was the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Charter One Financial, Inc. from December 1985 to August 2004, and was a director of Charter One Financial, Inc. from 1992 to August 2004. Mr. Neu previously worked for KPMG as a Senior Audit Manager.
B. Hagen Saville
President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Saville has served as our Executive Vice President of Business Development since 1998. From 1997 to 1998, Mr. Saville was employed at First Union National Bank, which acquired Signet Bank in 1997. From 1994 to 1997, Mr. Saville was employed at Signet Bank where he served as Vice President.
Keith Kennedy
Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President and Managing Director
Keith Kennedy joined MCG in January 2012 and serves as a member of the Company's Credit Committee and as Executive Vice President and Managing Director. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer in May 2012
From May 2011 to February 2012, Mr. Kennedy served as a Healthcare Advisor and Executive-in-Residence at Arlington Capital Partners. From October 2009 until he joined Arlington Capital, Mr. Kennedy pursued principal investing. During this period, Mr. Kennedy worked exclusively with Jay I. Kislak and J.I. Kislak, Inc. (March to September 2010) to pursue the acquisition of two federal savings banks, various private company buyouts and the formation of a middle market credit opportunity fund.
From October 2002 to September 2009, Mr. Kennedy worked at GE Capital where he held several leadership roles, all with increasing levels of responsibilities, across several functional areas and business segments. While at GE, Mr. Kennedy successfully invested $1.2 billion in over 40 healthcare transactions. As a Managing Director, Mr. Kennedy led GE Capital's Strategic Investments Group, a $600 million healthcare investment portfolio within its corporate finance group that he helped create to deal with the impact of the credit dislocation on the business unit's portfolio.
Prior to GE, Mr. Kennedy served in various tax, audit and transaction advisory roles in public accounting. Mr. Kennedy served as a Manager, Transaction Services, at Ernst & Young, LLP (formerly Andersen LLP) where he consulted on over 35 corporate transactions. Early in his career, Mr. Kennedy served as an Officer in the U.S. Air Force and he worked for Vinnell Corporation in Muscat, Oman.
Mr. Kennedy received his M.B.A. from The College of William & Mary and Bachelor of Science with High Distinction from Indiana University. Mr. Kennedy is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Public Accountant."
E. Peter Malekian
Executive Vice President and Managing Director
E. Peter Malekian is an Executive Vice President and Managing Directorof MCG Capital Corporation (Nasdaq: MCGC), a one-stop capital investment firm. He is a key member of MCG's origination and investment team.
Peter joined MCG in 2001 and has 13 years of experience in private equity, mezzanine, consulting and investment banking. Prior to joining MCG, Peter was an investment banker and Senior Vice President with Ferris Baker Watts in its corporate finance and M&A group. There he focused on business services, technology and software-based middle market and growth companies. Prior to that he was with Arthur Andersen's economic and financial consulting practice and, previously, in public accounting, where he worked with both middle market growth companies and multinational corporations. Peter started his business career as an entrepreneur while completing his undergraduate education.
Peter has made investments for MCG in healthcare, business services, distribution, software, education and niche manufacturing. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Jenzabar, Inc. and is an observer on the Boards of Directors of Medical Consultants, Inc., Restaurant Technologies, Inc., CWP/RMK Acquisition Corp. and Advanced Sleep Concepts, Inc. He was previously an observer on the Board of Directors of SXC Health Solutions, Inc.
He holds a BS in accounting from George Mason University and an MBA with distinction from Cornell University's Johnson School of Management. Peter is a certified public accountant.
Robert L. Marcotte
Executive Vice President and Managing Director
Robert L. Marcotte is an Executive Vice President and Managing Directorof MCG Capital Corporation (Nasdaq: MCGC), a one-stop capital firm. Bob is a team leader in the company's business development group, and covers a portion of the private equity sponsor community and investment activities in the cable industry. In addition to related portfolio management responsibilities, Bob also serves on the MCG Credit Committee.
Prior to joining MCG in 2001, Marcotte was chief financial officer for Aleron, Inc., a wholesale Internet access and network services provider. Formerly, he served as vice president in the corporate finance department of the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York and as a director of the project & lease financing department in investment banking for Merrill Lynch & Co. Marcotte also served as senior vice president of the project financing department of GE Capital in Stamford, CT. He began his career as a banking officer at Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh after graduating Georgetown University cum laude with a bachelor of science in business administration with majors in accounting and finance.
Tod Reichert
General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, Corporate Secretary and Senior Vice President
Tod K. Reichert is Senior Vice President, Chief Securities and Governance Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary of MCG Capital Corporation. Tod is responsible for advising MCG regarding compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the 1940 Act and other securities laws, and overseeing the development, monitoring, training and testing of corporate policies.
Prior to joining MCG, from January 2001 to June 2008, Tod served as counsel in the Corporate Practice Group at WilmerHale where he practiced corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on public offerings, venture capital transactions and mergers and acquisitions for clients in a various industries and sectors, including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, software, emerging technologies and financial services. A significant portion of his practice involved general corporate work for ongoing clients on matters such as SEC compliance, securities and disclosure issues and corporate governance matters. Prior to joining WilmerHale, from September 2007 to December 2000, Tod was associated with Buchanan Ingersoll in Princeton, New Jersey.
Tod received his J.D. from the Rutgers University School of Law - Newark and his BFA from the University of North Carolina. Before attending law school, he spent fourteen years in New York City as a professional actor, appearing in over thirty-five commercials, soap operas and feature films.
